Whitney Village: Affordable Living in St. Pete’s Arts District
Transforming neighborhoods goes beyond construction it’s about vision, collaboration, and creating places where people truly want to live. In this video, HB Design and Engineering showcases Whitney Village, a new multifamily development located in the Warehouse Arts District of St. Petersburg, Florida.
This project brings together affordable housing, urban design, and community identity, delivering 76 apartment units designed for modern, efficient living. By working closely with the City of St. Petersburg and leveraging community reinvestment initiatives, the team was able to optimize density, reduce costs, and make new construction housing accessible at significantly lower rental rates.
Whitney Village is more than a residential project it’s part of a larger vision to enhance the neighborhood through public art, walkability, and transit-oriented living. With proximity to bike trails, public transportation like the SunRunner, and a growing creative scene, residents can enjoy a car-free lifestyle while staying connected to everything the city has to offer.
At HB Design and Engineering, projects like this reflect a commitment to building not just structures, but vibrant, inclusive communities that support long-term growth and affordability.
